Tara Wisnewski: Manager of Video Production and Special Projects with Crutchfield Corporation

Tara Wisnewski, Class of 2004

BA in History from SUNY Geneseo

My name is Tara Wisnewski and my history degree led me to a fun, creative video job. I manage website and YouTube video production for an electronics retailer. I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2004 as a history major with Secondary Ed certification. I lead a team of videographers and producers as we create videos about the latest TVs, home and car audio electronics, and more.

As a history major, I learned how to research, to understand perspectives, to analyze and synthesize information, and to write and communicate. I constantly use these skills at my job. As with many industries today, ecommerce and video production are constantly evolving. It’s important that I’m able to research new trends, apply those findings to our particular business, and communicate new strategies to my team and others in my company. I believe that studying history at Geneseo set me up to become a lifelong learner, and that will carry me far into the future.

  1. it keeps the story flowing and keeps people interested, it also keeps a sense of realism for the audience. It helps them understand the narrative, it helps introduce the characters and can add emotion and a certain feel to the story. videographer
